The Design and Transformation exhibition in Brussels tells the story of selected Czech design and its transformation in relation to societal changes. The exhibition was prepared on the occasion of the Czech Presidency of the Council of the European Union and it was complemented by six films produced by its collective authors.

This short film about life after the loss of a loved one deals with a difficult topic, using techniques of both live-action and animated film. Some real experiences of the narrators are combined with animated sequences reconstructing painful situations, looking into the thoughts of three young people prematurely exposed to death.

Real experiences of the narrators are combined with animated sequences reconstructing painful situations, looking into the thoughts of three young people prematurely exposed to death.  The author uses hand drawn animation over live action footage as well as abstract animation. 

The Little One is an autobiographical film about a small Vietnamese girl growing up in a small town. As she struggles with the feeling that she’s simultaneously alienated yet at home, her family is coming to a crucial decision. Who will leave and who will stay? Whose home is where? The director, who made the film during her studies at FAMU in Prague, sensitively yet playfully reflects on the complicated theme of uprooting and family ties. 

A co když je tu doma?! Autobiografický film o malé Vietnamce, která vyrůstá v českém maloměstě. Zatímco si zvyká na to být zároveň cizí i doma, její rodina směřuje k zásadnímu rozhodnutí. Kdo odjede - kdo zůstane? A čí domov je kde?
