Three masters of football. They can perform wonders during the match and score impossible goals. But what happens in their heads when they are about to take penalty kicks? In his audiovisually intensive film, Jevremović looks for a parallel between sport and society-wide frenzy.

In the first official music video Jevremović has made for his favourite Slovenian band, he combines real footage of dismal urban locations with his frenetic drawings in the spirit of the song. We can see his favourite animal motifs which can, however, carry a political subtext this time. The music video is framed by a telling motif of a child’s hand.

This disturbing film again utilises many artistic approaches and animation techniques. It also combines several influences. Inspired by Kafka’s story In the Penal Colony, a famous painting by Arnold Böcklin and drawing a parallel to Soviet Russia, the film takes us to a strange place where a soldier is about to be punished for insubordination. The punishment will be carried out by a machine which will engrave the committed crime (as a text) on the man’s back so that he feels it ‘on his own skin’.

A confession of love to a city that has suffered a lot. Depicted by many artists, the city was destroyed many times throughout centuries. Just as the events have transformed the place, the director paints over one layer of paint with another, again and again. But the memory of the place remains. A romantic and expressive journey through the history of Dresden.

After two ‘animal’ films, Diary takes us into the seemingly dull reality of an ordinary person living in a city. Thanks to animated street flythroughs, their commute to work turns into a fascinating spectacle. In ten minutes ‘the camera’s eye’ stops only for a few moments when the depicted scene is projected onto the author’s canvas.

Panther is an intensive study about freedom. What does an animal in captivity feel? Can these feelings be visualised at all? The director’s characteristically restless animation found ideal material in Rainer Maria Rilke’s poem about a panther kept in the menagerie of a Parisian botanical garden. Once again, the director accompanies his suggestive visual style with expressive music, this time based on the electric guitar.

With its varying style, this dynamic impression evokes the fleetingness of the moment. A running animal, wind blowing through the landscape, a human face…  The ensemble of several artistic techniques oscillating between abstract and specific depiction is held together by the character of the score, which at the same time drives the superbly animated metamorphoses forward like a cheetah in pursuit of its prey.
